Custom Wire & Cable Applications

WALRAD USA LLC partners with manufactures that support customer wire & cable needs of end users and OEM’s. We design wire and insulation combinations for specific applications. Many of our specialty wire insulation combinations have resulted in innovative standard products for both our customers.

Transformer Lead Cable

WALRAD USA LLC also partners with manufactures that custom fabricates transformer lead cable and wrapped solid conductor wire to meet each customer’s specifications in the manufacturing and repairing of all types of transformers. Our construction consists of flexible bare copper conductors wrapped with different types of paper insulations, including a glued outer paper wrap or cotton cover when specified. All materials used are free from substances that could contaminate transformer oils. All wire shipped on wooden returnable reels.

Covering

  1. Final crepe paper wrap with non-contaminating adhesive.
  2. Untreated cotton in open or full weave with or without non-contaminating adhesive.
  3. Printing of cable size and wall build on outer jacket.
  4. Bare copper cable sold separately.
